Founded in 1878, the Chuanshan Academy is an important birthplace of Hunan culture, dedicated to promoting the thought of Wang Fuzhi, a thinker and philosopher of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Wang Fuzhi advocated “practical application of knowledge,” which had a significant impact on the intellectual history of modern China.

Previously, the academy’s static exhibits failed to allow visitors to fully appreciate the essence of Wang Fuzhi’s thought. In 2025, the academy launched the AI ​​Digital Human project, using natural language processing and other technologies to present the voice and appearance of Wang Fuzhi.
